Centric expands inPosition Mobile POS with the Tap to Pay functionality. Thanks to an integration with payment provider Mollie, retailers can now accept contactless payments without the use of physical payment terminals.
InPosition is Centric’s intuitive point-of-sale (POS) software that brings sales channels together in one up-to-date overview for a consistent shopping experience, both in-store and online. With the new functionality, consumers can check out directly on the shop floor without a physical payment terminal. Customers can easily pay with a contactless payment card or digital wallet, after which the payment is securely processed via Mollie.
By adding payment functionality to mobile POS devices, employees have greater freedom on the shop floor. They can assist customers and let them pay immediately, without depending on a fixed checkout. This allows retailers to deploy employees more flexibly and organize the checkout process more efficiently. For consumers, this means less waiting time and the possibility to check out anywhere in the store.
